This is my graduation film from a couple years ago. I had so much drive on this project, but doing this all myself was a lot of work! Still, the feeling of having created something outweighs the sleepyness.

Here’s the completed run cycle sprite for Illia :) coming along nicely! I made the sprites quite massive, though, so I’m not sure how this will translate… but despite the size, I managed to keep the pixellated look.

Here’s the (almost) final design for Illia, heroine and protagonist of “Heart of Lif” (working title)… I’m new to pixel work and sprite design, so it’s interesting for me to get in and start animating this. I like the traditional look of pixellated sprites, and these days we have such a large palette to choose from that I can really have fun with the colour design of the whole piece.

It’s been a while since I uploaded any of my recent work here, so here’s a snippet of the Lif soundtrack in the making. This is the theme of longing, Based around Lillia’s lietmotif.

The release of skyward sword and the accompanying 25th anniversary orchestral soundtrack CD has proven to be a great boost of inspiration indeed.

Been slow this week… super busy with civic duties and whatnot! But now, i’m back. Animated some of the pilot episode for cesl and glie, and drew this picture when i was messing around with background techniques.

We’ll get there eventually!
