Today I remembered how to animate and composite.
Concept image for a videogame side project, the book of lif Action RPG.
The idea is to have the characters thoughts appear at the bottom of the screen, but also to have narration in the style of an interactive storybook.
Here’s an original character design for glie. I dropped the hat in subsquent designs because I was never really sure about how I wanted it to look.
The design has stayed pretty much the same throughout, save for a few recolorations.

This is Cherry - she looks after space cat! Space cat just ignores her though. He’s super annoying, but adorable. Just like real kittens.
